Welcome back, Warriors, to a new school year! After [two] months of hitting the books and studying, a handful of students were asked for their opinions about the first month of school. Anyways, I hope you do your homework, have a ton of fun, and keep reading The Word!
How was your first day of school?
“Everyone was very nice. The students and teachers were supportive. Everyone answers when I ask questions.” – Christopher, grade 8
“I couldn’t find my friends…I had to look for them! It was annoying too, [when] I found out that we have permanent lockers!” – Jessica, grade 11
How do you feel about the locker arrangements this year?
“I think we shouldn’t have it for all these years. It’s not fair, and it may not be convenient for everyone. We want to get to know new people, not just the same [ones].” – Satvir & Shristi, grade 10
“I think the students should be allowed to pick them, especially grade twelves because it’s their last year.” – Jasmine, grade 12
What’s something that you like about your classes so far?
“All the interesting people I have classes with!” – Tammy, grade 9
“I get a chance to meet new people, because I have classes with different people. It’s more diverse.” – Kaitlyn, grade 8
“I like choir because you get to sing. Choir usually makes me calm, and [it’s] a time for relaxing.”- Anonymous, grade 9
If you were to change one thing about school, what would it be?
“Water fountains would have chocolate milk instead of water!” – Ben, grade 8
“The cost of school lunches!” – Vincent, grade 8
“I would like more time during break and in between classes!” – Kevin, grade 8
“There should be a law for no cursing! Why do people curse, anyway? You know what I mean?” – Kristi, grade 12
What do you think was the biggest change in the school?
“The lights go off in the hallways/classrooms once in a while. I can’t see – it’s too dark! ” – Anonymous, grade 11
“People! There’s a lot of international students, so it’s really awesome.” – Lyn, grade 10
“The bench in the foyer! And the doors aren’t orange anymore, they’re blue now!”
– Bobby & Brett, grade 11
Score! I’m in an article! Go Jenny!

P.S. Type advice in the search box and you will find it.
