What are you wearing today and where did you get each piece from?

What are you wearing today?
What? Well, there you go! Can you see? I’m wearing runners…what do you call these kind of pants? Corduroy? No, jeans. [I'm also wearing] white socks, a dress shirt, zipped jacket and another heavy jacket.
Describe your style.
I have no style. Can’t you see? No, of course not.
Do you think that your style says a lot about you?
Casual? Sloppy? Solemn? How can you be casual and solemn at the same time? I subject myself to the force of circumstance, and my feel, too. Like tomorrow, I feel like wearing dress pants.

What are you wearing today?
A blue shirt. I always wear blue. It’s my comfort colour and it brings out the blue in my eyes.
How would you describe your personal style?
Let me think about this…easygoing, very relaxed, casual.
How has your style changed or evolved over time?
I started in two-piece suits, dresses and high heels. Then as you get older, you realize that you need to dress for the job. High heels don’t work on these floors.
Where do you usually shop?
Richmond Centre. We go shopping every Friday night and have dinner. It’s girls’ night out without any groceries.
What is your favourite clothing store?
Aldila. They have better quality clothing there, stuff you don’t see at other stores.
If I told you that there was going to be an earthquake and you had to pick three clothing items and run, what would they be?
My jeans, my runners and my new sweater (blue, of course).
What is one style that you particularly dislike?
Oh, I’ll tell you! The leggings with the top that comes down that doesn’t really cover your body. Ugh. It’s not that it doesn’t look cute. It just looks obscene to me. I don’t think leggings replace pants.
If you could command every student to wear a certain outfit, what would that outfit be?
If it was the girls, it would be the private school uniform, the pleated skirt, the blazer, the white shirt. And boys, their clothes are boring. Maybe plaid, with blue and burgundy.
Do you honestly think that what a person wears reflects their personality?
Yes, I do. I think if you want to stand out, you’ll wear bright colours. If you want to be a wallflower and blend in, blue’s good for that.

Kylie Rondpre, Grade 9: Oh. I will give more to the needy; I will help raise awareness [for] poverty, not only other countries, but also our own; I will reduce waste; I will gain super powers and save the helpless; I will show my appreciation for others, [and] I will accept what comes to me.
Nicole: That’s great!
Kylie: I will also read to old people, hahaha.

What are you wearing today?
Pretty much all Gap, some H & M: sweater, jeans, big boots.
What can you say about your personal style?
First of all, for me, it’s function over style. My style is very limited, because I commute to work on my motorcycle and I change [my pants] at work. Being a chemistry teacher also limits what I wear, because I get holes in my sweaters from acids. I like more subdued and drab colours.

Aries – Teach others as you would teach yourself. Time sometimes calls for a change in perspective, don’t leave it to the answering machine.
Taurus - Rushing through your issues will lead you into a dead end. Take your time and make wise decisions. When talking to others, be a little more tactful.
Gemini – Being whimsical is part of being a Gemini. Don’t ignore a hunch when it comes, because that hunch might help you in the long run.
Cancer – Take a step back and reflect on the good times. Motivation and direction is what you need right now. Walking outside may give interesting results.
Leo – Realize there are more things to life than work. Friendships will keep you sane. Whenever you need some happy time remember to suit up!
